You think you'll never forget the feeling of holding your baby's tiny hand...touching your heart with their fingertips...but before you know it, your baby has grown and the memory fades. But you can capture that memory forever with a clay impression from Handfuls.

A carefully, handcrafted impression of your child's hand is something you'll treasure forever. Handful's prints capture all the tiny details of your child's hands or feet in studio-quality clay. Each print is personalized, coated with glaze, then kiln-fired four times.

Jenny Bertelsen, owner of Handfuls, uses a special glaze recipe and repeated firings to produce a fine, porcelain-like finish. The entire process is easy for parent and child, NOT MESSY, and creates amazing detail, far beyond plaster kits or "paint-your-own" pottery.

Handfuls strives to make doing the impressions fun and convenient, offering appointments in their Charlotte studio, on-location at local children's stores, and in client's homes.

About the artist...Jenny Bertelsen lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband Kevin and children, Jackson, age 4 and Libby, age 3, where she runs her pottery studio. Jenny received her BFA in Art History from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She specializes in working with ceramics, paint and stained glass. Before opening her handprint business, Handfuls, Jenny studied with artist, Dana Via in Portland, Oregon, who perfected the "Tot Tracks" product and created the special glazing technique.
